WWE Superstars 05/12/2011 Drew McIntyre VS Chris Masters [HQ]
Description: Superstars 12.05.11 Last Part{3} | Drew McIntyre VS Chris Masters [HQ]
Drew is already in the ring; Masters receives a pretty decent pop and gets the fireworks during his entrance again. They lock up and Masters shows his power forcing Drew into the corner; still referring to McIntyre as the chosen one makes Vince McMahon look like an imbecile, since he’s basically amounted to diddly and squat thus far whilst guys like Sheamus and The Miz are former WWE Champions. Masters with a reverse wastelock and Drew elbows his was free and applies a front facelock. Masters flips him over with an arm wringer whip and tries the Masterlock; Drew slips free and retreats to the corner. McIntyre takes a swipe at Masters’ eyes to get a brief advantage until Masters comes back with clotheslines; Drew to the ropes to break the momentum. Smart strategy by McIntyre, incredulously boring, but smart. McIntyre tries to take advantage but Masters chops him; Drew reverses a whip and tries a Thesz press but Masters stops an inch short and inverted atomic drops McIntyre. Nice. Masters locks up a Bulldog delayed suplex and gets a nearfall; Drew retreats to the floor where he traps Masters’ leg in the ropes and drops off the apron onto it. Drew kicks a hobbled Masters and applies a leglock; Masters tries to whip him off the ropes but he takes the leg out with a low tackle, off the whip. McIntyre brings back Bret Hart’s ringpost figure-four to a remembrance pop. Back from commercial, Drew is stomping on the leg allowing Scott Stanford’s mind to wander and make a funny comment about last week’s Manny Pacquiao/Shane Mosley boxing match being as exciting as a documentary on a Phillips screwdriver. Unfortunately he made the comment while Drew McIntyre is wrestling, who Dragon Screws the leg and gets a nearfall. McIntyre reapplies a leglock. Masters fights free and tries to muscle him up into a shoulder breaker (or powerslam) but the leg collapses and Drew scores with a dropkick… and then nips-up into a jackknife cover for two. Drew cleverly pulls Masters’ kneepad down and then roundhouse punches him. Drew signals for a figure-four leglock but Masters sticks a boot in his ass to break, a frustrated McIntyre charges… right into a Samoan drop. Masters uses the good leg to boot McIntyre in the face off a corner whip and hobbles into a second-rope diving tackle. Masters tries a whip, but Drew is able to counter, since he could not generate as much force on one leg. Good psychology, which has been Masters’ biggest improvement since returning to the WWE; Drew runs right into a Sky High for two. This match has been a pleasant surprise. Drew whips Masters into the ropes but his leg gives out and he clotheslines himself on the bottom rope; Drew smartly tries to lock up the Future-Shock DDT but gets backdropped. Masters misses a wild clothesline and gets caught in a backslide but he powers Drew up and tries his own but McIntyre flips over and tries the Future-Shock DDT again but Masters counters again so Drew kicks the bad knee. He tires a corner charge but misses and posts his shoulder; Masters locks in the Masterlock and Drew passes out for the surprising victory
